Taking a break from Nintendo, I join some friends in a Pokemon tabletop RPG set in the brand new, previously undiscovered Cythos region. Strategy and planning goes out the window and the almighty d20 becomes the deciding factor. Well...this is different!

We Can't Scooby Doo This Shit!
Would you look at all this tech Tyre had tucked away back here? It's remarkable. It almost looks like he built his own Pokemon Center in his house! Why, you'd never have to leave home--
Wait...where did Jess's Sneasel go? And where is Kevin, while we're on the subject?
Jess and Arturo, we need to stick together, okay? We can't afford to go solo here when we don't know what we're up against in this house. Now, I have a feeling we're going up against ghosts...does anyone have a contingency plan if I'm right?
I suppose you're right; Dark-types are strong against Ghost-types, and we all know Normal-types are immune to Ghost-type attacks. Arturo, do you have anything that will help you in those departments?
Your Swablu and your Munchlax are unconscious? Damn...who do you have that is still able to fight?
Oh, that's not good at all--
Repair the healing modules? We just might be able to do that. I just hope the fire damage isn't too extensive...
Well...that doesn't look promising. It's no quick repair, but I can get this thing up and running with the right supplies. That is, of course, if you two can cover me while I--
Now where the hell did Jess go?! What did I just say about sticking together?! We can't Scooby Doo this shit! Arturo, we are not leaving each other's sides.
If I can get a healing module working, and maybe the PC terminal, you can heal your injured Pokemon and I can swap out some of my team to be better suited to take on Ghost-types. It's either that or we head on back to the Pokemon Center--
Did you hear that? Something's moving upstairs...
I don't like this. We can't tell if that's Kevin or Jess or her Sneasel...or something else--
AHH! There it is again! It's right above us! Poke Ball, go!
Pidgey! Stay on the alert! I think something is coming this way...
You should be fine, though; you're a Normal-type.
Right?
(And just for fun, boys and girls...I'm gonna change the perspective on this one from here on out so you know exactly what went down.)
